OUR MISSION.

The Home Education Liberty Project is dedicated to the simple principle that children are not the property or responsibility of the state.

We believe that parents are naturally ordained to be the caregivers of children.

We believe that children are a gift from God and the state has no “compelling interest” in any child who is not being neglected or abused.

We believe that loving parents, no matter what their educational or economic level, will always be a superior alternative to the state .

We are committed to working towards complete educational freedom for children and families. We will not be intimidated or silenced by teachers unions, politicians or the educational establishment.

It is our position that home educators have proven beyond any doubt that personal, individualized education of children is immeasurably superior to assembly line indoctrination in government facilities. We have shown over and over that our children are loved, cared for and given far greater educational opportunities than any government program can provide.

We have been slandered and libeled. We have been accused of being drug dealers.

We have been ridiculed by bureaucrats who rely on an ever expanding infusion of taxpayer funds to prop up their failed system. And we have thrived, succeeded and demonstrated a commitment to our children with which no government agency can ever compete.

We have also watched the endless supply of tax dollars, siphoned off by public school unions, used to steal freedom and privacy from the most dedicated parents in the state.

We have seen positive legislation vetoed by a governor who was the recipient of thousands and thousands of dollars from the education monopoly.

We watched countless dedicated home school families work tirelessly to pass good bills and play by the rules only to have their rights smashed by extraordinarily wealthy public education operatives. Operatives who incessantly cried “poverty” while making some of the biggest campaign contributions ever.

And we said “enough.”
